The majority of the Treaty No. 10 area exists within Saskatchewan. Negotiated and entered into in August 1906, this Treaty covers the First Nation communities within Manitoba known as Barren Lands and Northlands.

As of yet, no Manitoba communities are a part of this far northern region of Manitoba, however, Manitobans still benefit from the Treaty due to Canadian economic development and resource extraction in the area.
