The TRCM's Mandate:

The new Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba will function as an independent and impartial office. Its mandate is to:

• Strengthen, rebuild and enhance the Treaty relationship.


• Engage in public education activities to improve understanding of the Treaty relationship and Treaty related issues.


• Provide facilitation services for discussing treaty related issues.


• Conduct independent research.
